A few examples of some of the best Italian restaurants in the United Kingdom. I ate at most of them, but some I put on the list are based on recommendations from a few friends I trust. Most are from London (where I work) and Birmingham (where I lived).

My favorite thing about Zucca is the respect the chefs and the managing team obviously have for traditional Italian cuisine. The prices are quite high, the restaurant is almost always full and th who says it!

I've had some of the best pizza at Franco Manca. The sauces and toppings are full of flavor and diverse and the crust is amazing. If you can take the rather long waiting time, this place is great who says it!

Buonissimo is the type of restaurant you would like to visit on a sunny day and have some lovely pasta with seafood and coffee on the terrace. The interior design and the general atmosphere is ve who says it!

I ate at the Birmingham Carluccios about three times and I was always confronted with the same problem. People tend to be very loud and the food is slow in getting to the table. Still, the pasta who says it!
